Retrival of two bags containing Gold ornaments, 4 laptops &other valuables items valued Rs 9.0 lakh approx at Thane Railway Station
On 20.09.2019, information received at RPF POST TNA from 182 helpline that one passenger and his friend has forgot their bags in luggage compartment KYN Side of CSMT slow local arriving TNA at 13/40 hrs containing valuable items & jewellery at Kalyan Station while debording. Accordingly acting promptly on the information SI Naveen Singh direct the ASI/SS Singh, MSF staff Ganesh Arve & Usha Sonawane who attended the said train and found two bags as unclaimed. Accordingly it was brought to RPF post TNA.Then after SI Naveen Singh checked the bags in presence of witnesses and found the following items
1)3 nos Gold bangles weighing 117gms. Valued Rs 4,68,000/- 2)one gold pendent weighing 50 gms valued Rs 2,00,000/- 3) 4 nos HP Laptops valued Rs 1,60,000/-4)one original Passport naming Kamal Kumar ,one original passport naming Vishal Tarani,5) One UAE resident card in the name of Vishal Tarani(NRI),6) two portable Hard-disk ,7) Foreign Currency valued Rs 50,000/-8)One sumsung mobile,9) Return air ticket for UAE Rs 11,000/-10) Other Important valuable Items, Total items Value 9.0 Lakhs INR
. Accordingly the owner of the bags Namely Vishal Tarani (NRI) local residence Flat no. 303,Gopal Apartment Ulhasnagar and his friend Kamal Resident of House no 90, near Sabji Madi Road Jaipur was contacted who came to office. On the call of SI/Naveen Singh, both owner of the bag came to office and submitted written prayer for handing over of their bag to them.Vishal Tarani (NRI) stated that he came from Dubai and while traveling in local train along with his friend Kamal Kumar from Ghatkopar to Kalyan forgot to take their bag while debording at Kalyan due heavy rush and other luggage.
The both bag were duly handed over to their owners after due verification & obtaining proper acknowledgment in presence of IPF/TNA Shri RR Pandav. Both owner expressed thier gratitude to RPF for said retrieval and admires the work.
